Voting Mechanism

Voting on-chain is executed via the Governor contract, ensuring transparent and tamper-resistant outcomes:

  • Quorum Requirement: Minimum 4% of total UNT supply must participate for a vote to be valid.

  • Majority Thresholds:

    • Simple Majority (≥50%): For routine parameter updates and treasury allocations.

    • Supermajority (≥66.7%): For protocol upgrades and changes to governance rules.

  • Vote Types:

    • For/Against/Abstain: Standard voting options, where abstentions count toward quorum but not yea/nay totals.

    • Early Execution: Allows passing proposals to enter timelock once the threshold is reached prior to voting period end.

  • Delegation: Token holders may delegate voting power to other addresses via the ERC‑20 delegate pattern.
